Being Seen- Our Flag Means Death Episode 2 "A Damned Man"

This week we discuss where we notice the theme of Being Seen in the second episode of Our Flag Means Death. We contemplate being seen as an important part of creating our identity and consider which characters feel they are seen in a way that feels authentic. For our sacred reading practice we think about "dibs" as a strategy and discover how dibs creates opportunities to better see others.

Peace- Our Flag Means Death Episode 1 ”Pilot”

For our very first episode we discuss the theme of peace throughout the pilot episode of Our Flag Means Death. We consider how Stede achieves peace with his crew through an unexpected act of violence. We explore which characters feel inner peace on the Revenge and how Stede enhances his safe space by creating a "peace bubble."

Sneak Peek! Episode 1- Our Flag Means...Peace

Sneak peek of our first Our Flag Means Death podcast episode! In Episode 1 we Marmalade Mermaids discuss Our Flag Means Death as a Sacred Text through the lens of Peace.
This is the Sacred Reading Practice we learned from Harry Potter and the Sacred Text. Every two weeks we watch one episode looking for examples of a particular theme and then we talk it through as a crew. 
Our First Episode is Our Flag Means.... Peace. Who has peace? Who is looking for peace? Who discovers new opportunities for peace? And how does this discussion of peace change how we think about peace in Our Flag Means Death and in our own lives?
